  • Olga Sanchez

Olga Josefina Sánchez, born on September 30, 1967, in Mexico City, is a prolific artist whose work emanates from the deepest realms of her being. She inherited a profound sensitivity from her Jarocho father and Chiapaneca mother, which significantly influences her artistic expression.

With a background as a textile designer for 17 years, Olga created vibrant textile collections for women's fashion. Transitioning into the realm of visual arts over 15 years ago, she has since cultivated a remarkable career as a plastic artist, producing a diverse array of works. She currently creates and produces art in her home studio, where she also teaches modern painting to a group of students.

Her artistic journey includes various exhibitions and projects:

From 2008 to 2010, she created numerous works in Morelia, Michoacán, some of which are part of her personal collection.
Participated in collective exhibitions at the Instituto Cultural de Aguascalientes (ICA) from 2011 to 2014.
Showcased her work in several international and national group exhibitions in 2014, including "EROS" in Chicago, "Woman Empowerment Times" in San Antonio, Texas, and multiple installments of the "La mujer en el arte" traveling exhibition in Mexico.
In 2014, her work was featured in "Introspección-Abstracción" at STUNAM and "Esencias" at the Hinovations Art Gallery in McAllen, Texas.
Participated in "Urbanistorias," a multidisciplinary collective exhibition in Mexico City, and the "Café – Coffee Art Exhibit" in McAllen, Texas.
In 2015, her work was displayed in "Después del estío" at the Michoacán Congress's Commission of Culture and Arts, and in "Mujeres poderosas" at the Centennial Club in McAllen, Texas.
In 2016, she took part in the traveling exhibition "La mujer en el arte" in San Francisco del Rincón, Guanajuato.
In 2017, she was featured in the "Peace, Love and Colors" exhibition in Las Vegas and held her first solo exhibition "Reflexiones y Paradigmas" at the 9.2 Mts² gallery in the Central Education Media Center of the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes.
Also in 2017, she participated in cultural events at the Instituto Cumbres de Aguascalientes and CECOI's "Talent Woman."
Olga Sanchez's artistic philosophy revolves around using art as a medium to convey profound feelings and ideas, offering a sublime way to communicate with others.
