MUNDOS ALTERNOS

MUNDOS ALTERNOS

Beatriz Navarro

A cracked sphere — half deep crimson, half pale ochre — floats between two angular, stepped architectural fragments against a layered ground of ash grey, bone white, and earth tones. Navarro builds texture through mixed media, with visible fissuring on the sphere's surface and atmospheric washes that dissolve any fixed horizon. The title, MUNDOS ALTERNOS, suggests these geometries and that fractured celestial body each belong to a different order of reality — coexisting, nearly touching, but never quite aligned.
