ZONA

ZONA

Aaron Zoe

A large, close-cropped face dominates the canvas, its single visible eye gazing outward while a small nude figure arcs across the upper right and a glowing lantern hangs at lower left, all locked inside bold arcing and geometric forms. Zoe works in acrylic with a warm amber-to-black palette, using hard graphic contours drawn from his multimedia and design practice to carve the composition into interlocking zones of tension. The title ZONA — Spanish for “zone” — evokes threshold and boundary: the painting suggests a psychological interior mapped as territory, where body, light, and line compete for the same charged space.
